Xiaomi showed Mi Watch – the first watch of the company with Wear OS and Google Pay
As part of a large presentation on November 5, Xiaomi will introduce a number of new devices, including the Mi Watch. This is the manufacturer’s first accessory based on the Wear OS platform from Google (formerly Android Wear). Without waiting for the official event, the head of the company showed the design and equipment of the gadget.
Apparently, the watch will be very similar to the Apple Watch. The Chinese novelty differs only in a slightly more elongated form of the case and, accordingly, the screen. On the whole, the appearance seems very familiar, especially with the Digital Crown a la wheel.
Following this image, a render was published demonstrating the technical equipment of the watch. He confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi Watch will receive a Qualcomm processor, speaker, linear vibration motor, GPS chip, NFC, as well as support for Wi-Fi and eSIM.
It will be a full watch on Wear OS with the ability to install applications, contactless payment via Google Pay and tight integration with smartphones on Android. Probably, the novelty will immediately appear on the European market, bypassing the launch in China, where Google services, as you know, are banned.
