Xiaomi has announced a smart suitcase Robotic Suitcase. He follows the owner and warns of theft
Together with COWAROBOT, the manufacturer of the world's first robot suitcase, Xiaomi created Robotic Suitcase. Outwardly, it looks like an ordinary plastic suitcase – but it has a smart filling. The novelty is already available at Youpin crowdfunding.
Robotic Suitcase has a capacity of 31 liters, thick plastic will protect things from falling, and waterproof zippers will protect against unwanted moisture. A set of cameras is built into the handle, which allows the device to find the owner and follow it at a convenient distance. Thanks to artificial intelligence, the suitcase avoids obstacles – including moving ones.
The built-in battery at 92 Wh is enough for 20 km. The power module looks like a removable power bank weighing about 500 g – you do not have to put the entire suitcase on charge. From 0 to 100%, it charges in 5 hours, and if necessary, you can charge a smartphone from it: for this, a USB-A connector is provided.
The application on the smartphone allows you to track the location of the suitcase in real time. If it leaves the set radius, you will receive a notification. Also provides a more traditional protection in the form of a three-digit combination lock.
Robotic Suitcase goes on sale November 29th. You can pre-order now on the Xiaomi crowdfunding platform – but only if you are in China. They rated the new product at 1,999 yuan (18,080 rubles). After the release, the price will rise to 2,999 yuan (27,130 rubles).
