The market for budget devices replenished with Windows tablet Pipo W5
Tablet computers running the Windows 8.1 operating system in some cases offer their owners much more functionality than their counterparts running Android or iOS. But Windows tablets for the most part are sold at a fairly high price, while manufacturers of devices based on other platforms offer a relatively wide range of budget models.
The other day, the little-known Chinese manufacturer of electronic devices Pipo in our market has expanded the line of inexpensive Windows devices with the Pipo W5 tablet computer. Having a fairly high-quality and stylish case, the device has acquired average technical equipment, which should be enough for the smooth operation of undemanding office applications.

The novelty is equipped with an impressive 8 inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels. Inside the case, the Intel Atom Z3735G computing processor found its place with a maximum clock frequency of up to 1.8 GHz. The size of the operating space is 2 GB, and the built-in flash drive allows you to store up to 32 GB of information. To increase memory, you can use microSD memory cards.
Despite its low cost, the Pipo W55 tablet has acquired quite a lot of RAM and internal memory than the closest analogues of other larger companies cannot boast. But in comparison with them, the novelty received a more modest processor, so it is much inferior in performance to similar devices released in 2013.
Two cameras are also available, which are located on the front and back of the device. The main camera acquired a 5 megapixel optical sensor, and the front – 2 megapixel. Given the price segment of the new items, such optical modules do not seem so bad. The listed technical equipment is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery, hidden under a plastic case.
The remaining technical specifications of the Pipo W5 tablet are kept secret for now. As the operating system, as you might guess, is the current version of Windows 8.1 with a tiled Metro interface which is convenient to use using touch control.
The cost of the Pipo W5 tablet in the Chinese market is $ 150. For residents of other countries, the novelty will cost a little more, since the price may increase due to delivery costs. Given this, buyers from Russia will have to pay about 8,000 rubles for the tablet.
